Broken Arrow

Starring John Travolta, Christian Slater, Samantha Mathis, and ex-football player, Howie Long.
Broken Arrow is about two Stealth bomber pilots who go from friends to enemies when one of them steals a nuclear weapon and plans to use it for ransom. The term "broken arrow" means the nuclear weapon is unaccounted for, or missing.
The climax to the action-filled movie portrays several stunning escapades aboard a train. The 150-person crew for Broken Arrow spent six weeks near Lewistown, Montana in the summer of 1995 to film the train sequences. Forty miles of track on the privately-owned Central Montana Railroad were used for filming, and the movie company used CMR engines and cars. Some of the more dangerous scenes were filmed here including helicopter action shots, gunfire, high falls, and special effects.
One of the movie's biggest stunts, called a full-body burn, involved putting a stunt player in a special wardrobe to protect him from the burn and wearing a special mask to make him look like the actor being portrayed. This stunt fully engulfed his body in flames. Even though the actor wore a flameproof face mask and protective clothing, this stunt was one of the most dangerous to accomplish. The scene was filmed with seven cameras that were also protected from the fire.
